LSS Community Care Centers: A New Name for Lutheran Social Services of Southern California
Social Services organization Responds to Growth By Adopting New Name
Orange, CA (April 30, 2010) – Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, recently added “LSS Community Care Centers” to its name (LSS-CCC) to its name to better reflect its emphasis on outreach to the entire community. For more than 65 years, this faith based non-profit social services agency has served the community. LSS continues to grow, led by faithful, compassionate and committed supporters since its inception.
LSS Community Care Centers respond to basic human needs with emergency assistance, (including food, clothing and shelter), counseling, homeless support, transitional living, services to seniors living at home, veterans, children and families, health education, ESL and pre-employment classes. In 2009, LSS served more than 150,000 people. Anyone who needs this help is welcome at their doors. It is their vision that all people will have the opportunity to live and work in a community with dignity and hope.
