Food Pantry

Emergency food bags are provided to all Conejo Valley residents in need.  Special dietary concerns are met if possible.

Holiday Programs

Thanksgiving baskets are provided for families and individuals in need in the Conejo Valley area.  The “Adopt a Family Christmas Program” provides gifts for children of low income families.  To be placed on the list for either program please contact our office by September 1st.  You must be an existing client of LSS to qualify for this program.

Homeless Outreach

The following services are provided to our homeless community on Monday through Friday (excluding Thursday) from 9:00am to 12:30pm: showers, laundry, mail collection, message center, bus tokens, food, clothing, case management, counseling and resource referrals.

Conejo Valley Meal and Shelter Program

A meal is offered every night at a different local Conejo Valley house of faith from 5:45 – 7:30.  All are welcome to attend.  December 1st through March 31st an overnight shelter at the same location is provided. Guests must check in between 5:45 and 8:00 and leave by 7:00am the following morning. Guests are treated with dignity and respect by dedicated church and synagogue volunteer teams.

Rental Assistance

Emergency rental assistance for eviction prevention serves low income families and individuals in the Conejo Valley.  Eligibility is based upon set criteria and will be determined through a phone intake or appointment.  If eligible special documentation will be required to support your need and living status.

Resource Referrals

Everyone in need deserves to be directed to an appropriate resource to meet those needs.  If LSS is unable to provide assistance we will do our best to offer support through our strong referral network.  We serve the following needs in this manner:  housing, emergency shelters, food, employment, mental health, education, vocation, legal services, medical services, human services, and welfare care.

Transportation Assistance

Gas vouchers are available to low income clients for medical, employment or education appointments.

Utility Assistance

Providing assistance to all Ventura County residents with gas and electric bills.  SCE assistance is provided once in a 12 month period and The Gas Co assistance is provided once in a calendar year.
