Avanti, a program of Lutheran Social Services, helps adults with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential by providing an enhancement of individual growth, community access and the right of personal choice. Avanti Volunteer Services/Social Integration Program, located in Pasadena, is a community based volunteer services/social integration program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Avanti is dedicated to increasing:

Independence and self-esteem of each individual, leading them toward a less restrictive living environment, prospective employment and active participation in community life.

Avanti places emphasis on independent living skills, offering a variety of volunteer/social integration opportunities, and training to enhance the individual growth of each and every participant.

Volunteer and learning opportunities include but are not limited to:

• Community Service

• Office/House maintenance

• Laundry

• Shopping/Meal preparation

• Computer skills

• MTA and mobility

• Community access

• Arts and crafts

• Gardening
